CYNDI LAUPER es una cantante, compositora, actriz, activista y empresaria estadounidense, nacida el 22 de junio de 1953 en Brooklyn, Nueva York. Se hizo famosa en la década de 1980 con éxitos como Girls Just Want to Have Fun, Time After Time, True Colors y I Drove All Night. Ha ganado varios premios Grammy, Emmy y Tony, y ha vendido más de 50 millones de discos en todo el mundo.
